Set unique colors or background images for every player, and swipe to track commander damage with ease. Beyond life tracking, Lotus handles everything from Poison counters to Storm count, Energy to Mana, and even keeps tabs on your Commander Tax.
Advanced Game Management
Swipe up or down on player cards to access a full suite of customization options. Set custom backgrounds, enable partner commanders, and manage players directly from their cards. Share your favorite profiles across devices, and when a player falls in battle, bring them back with our streamlined revival system. Plus, add some salt to defeat with customizable defeat messages!
Card Search and Price Checking
Need to check if that spicy tech is format legal? Or maybe you're wondering about the price of that chase rare? Search for any Magic card to instantly see current prices and format legality information.
Additional Game Modes: Planechase and Archenemy
Planechase: Journey through different planes with a full suite of Planechase cards, including the newest Doctor Who planes. The deck shuffles automatically, bringing fresh challenges to each game.

more This is one of the best life-counter apps I’ve ever used; in comparison to others it’s a lot cleaner in design and it’s intuitive from the start without having to guide me on how to use the functions of it. I think the only thing missing that my playgroup would appreciate is a Commander damage counter, to keep track of the damage each player has taken.

This is the best life tracker out there. Only two things I’d love to see implemented - commander damage, and saving presets for players. I’d like to have a database of “players” that I can make and choose to start with so I’m not typing in names and changing player colours every time I start a new game. That’s only a minor inconvenience though - this app is great!!!

Great, clean and functional: generally a joy to use. There are some minor points that hold this back from being a perfect 5-star app, though. First of all - the app desperately needs a Commander damage tracker! This, in my eyes, is the biggest feature that holds it back from dominating other life-tracker apps. Additionally, trying to multitask or open the Notification Centre is liable to unintentionally change life totals. You can usually fix this by looking at the game history, but it’s an annoyance nonetheless. Finally, it’s not super clear in the UI how to start a new game in a single match. A more elegant way of handling Bo3 and Bo5 matches would be welcome.

This update fixes a bug where the screen could turn off during games. The issue started with the update from December 16 and has been affecting some players for almost two weeks. We’re really sorry for the frustration this caused.
We had already tried fixing it earlier, but it turns out the problem was deeper than we thought. It should now be fully resolved.
Huge thanks to everyone who reported the issue and shared details. If you still notice the screen going to sleep, please let us know.
Thanks for playing with Lotus!
2.6.3 1 Jan
New feature: you can now show the current time directly on the main screen, so you don’t get lost in long games or late-night sessions.
We also fixed an issue where the screen could go to sleep for some users. If you’re still seeing problems, please let us know.
Plus a few layout fixes and small tweaks.
Thanks for playing with Lotus!
2.6.1 22/12/2025
This is a big one.
We’ve completely upgraded the game history. Instead of only showing life changes, you can now give games a name, see all players, set nicknames, choose format and variation, and browse a full list of your previous games. It’s much easier to look back at what you played and how the game went.
We also added the Bounty game mode. This brings the Bounty mechanic from Outlaws of Thunder Junction into Lotus, making it easy to track bounties during your games.
On top of that, we added a small but highly requested feature: you can now export and import all profiles. This makes it easy to set things up on one device and move everything to another.
Thanks for playing with Lotus!
2.6.0 18/12/2025
Offline mode is here.
Lotus now works properly without an internet connection. Only online features like card search and card images require internet.
New requested feature: You can now set custom values for long pressing the + and − buttons. The default is 10, but you can change it to values like 5, which is handy for games like Flesh and Blood.
Thanks for playing with Lotus!
2.5.2 16/12/2025
Another update is here. This one focuses on clarity, customization, and smoother gameplay:
- Low health warning: player cards can blink when life gets low. Toggle on or off
- Long press to manually set the starting player when the turn tracker is enabled
- New turn change overlay: shows the current turn number, for example Turn 2 or Turn 3, whenever the turn advances
- Turn tracker badge repositioned so it is not blocked by notches, dynamic island, or other screen cutouts
- New option to keep zero counters visible on player cards, useful for counters like radiation
2.5.1 28/10/2025
Big update time! We just shipped a bunch of highly requested features and quality-of-life improvements:
- Make player cards face the same direction. This is especially useful for 1v1 games, where one person is tracking life totals and counters for both players
- Commander damage counters can now be displayed directly on player cards, are clickable to adjust commander damage quickly, and can be turned off entirely in the settings if you prefer a cleaner look
- History view now shows life gain and loss more clearly and groups small changes into a single action
- New option to switch the life total tap areas from horizontal (side-by-side) to vertical (top and bottom)
- Uploaded player background images can now be adjusted with crop and pinch, so you can position them exactly how you like
- First defeat message now reflects how a player was defeated, like through poison or commander damage
- Option to disable defeat message cycles and display just one message instead
- Planechase and Archenemy decks can now be customized by selecting exactly which cards to include
- New "Minimalist Mode" setting that hides the +/– hints for a cleaner player card look
- New landscape layout for single-player mode
- New toggle to randomize player card colors at the start of a game
- Custom dice got a larger tap area, making editing and rolling much smoother
Thanks for playing with Lotus! May your games run smoother than ever.
