Worked well for us while we were in Roma. Only minor issues getting a taxi the first time when the first driver canceled but only waited less than 8 minutes that time. Otherwise less than 3 minutes all other times. Worked well even when using my overseas travel Visa card as payment method. The drivers do also accept cash. Would recommend it.
App ok until something goes wrong

We booked a ride to get us to the Eurostar in London for very early in the morning from our hotel. The driver did turn up but did not park in front of the hotel where we had been waiting 15 minutes but around the corner somewhere. When he was finally found by another driver, he started to drive away, with 4 adults trying to wave him down and the helpful driver tooting his horn and flashing his lights. He did not get out of his car once, nor could we contact the driver thru the app even tho it has a contact driver option, it did not work. They then charged me an additional fee as a no show. Eventually found somewhere in the app to lodge a protest, this has cost me over £20, but have not heard back from anyone. If you do use it, I recommend booking a black cab.NB… developer made contact for me to supply them more information, which I have already done twice!!! Just trying to make it look like they’re taking action on complaints but don’t seem to actually do anything when you submit a problem.

Absolute disgrace - never trust this service

I pre booked a taxi from central Rome to the airport 18 hours in advance. 15 minutes prior to the 8am pickup time we had a confirmed driver. At 8am he cancelled. Multiple further drivers cancelled. With 2 young kids, 5 big hold bags and hand luggage we’ve had to fight our way to the airport on public transport. Up and down multiple flights of stairs on the metro (lifts all broken of course). Now on a bus, not sure if we’ll make it, unsure whether we’ll lose 1000 euros worth of flights. This actually epitomises the weekend we’ve had in Rome. We were robbed yesterday, the streets are piled high with stinking rubbish. Do yourself a favour and visit somewhere else. We will never, ever be back.

Rubbish
Useless - doesnt simplify
Had an awful experience trying to get from Heathrow airport to London city - first driver cancelled on us, second pretended to pick us up (started the trip on his app) before cancelling, app didn’t update properly so couldn’t contact the first two drivers and showed the wrong number plate for the third driver which made it hard to find, eta for pick up and to destination were false, could only pay with one of four cards for some reason and transaction declined first two times. Thank goodness the third driver took us. Waited over 45 minutes to get a car. Will never use FreeNow again.
