After so many big updates the past weeks, now for a small one: A new beautiful and playful onboarding experience :)

Already a new update? 2.0 was just released! I had to fix some things, and while I was at it, I added some more. There is a new single player mode:  Guess the songs like usual, but they now start at 0:00 instead of the middle. It adds some unexpected excitement - check it out! What else? - The new BopSesh mode is more stable - Playlist selection in BopSesh is now straightforward - Session stats are now shown between rounds - Song title additions are no longer shown! (e.g. “feat.”, “Stereo Mix”, “Album Version”) - DailyBop UI and UX have been optimised (hopefully clearer now) - Bople Mode works as intended again - Multiplayer selection and creation look and feel better - You can now change your username (once) - Updated the intro to include BopSesh - UI upgrades here and there - Safeguarding and fallbacks for different modes

Let me introduce "BopSesh" - a new way to guess music with friends and family. You only need one Apple Music subscription to get the party started. One device plays the music, while a (nearly endless) number of iPhones and iPads join in as remotes, battling in real time for pole position. The gameplay is exactly how you know and love it: Pick a playlist, tweak the rules, and start the game. Four possible answers are sent to all connected devices in real time. The faster you react, the more points you score. After each song, compare results - or just vibe to the track. It’s a jam, you could even say it’s a bop! This mode has been a long time in the making, so please let me know what you think and what we should improve next. And that’s not all, this feels really like a 2.0 release for me: - Redesigned large parts of the app - Duels got a new spot, fresh description, and updated design - iPad layout fixes (sorry for the wait) - The "Bople" bug is gone (thanks, Ben) - Missing translations added + updated gendered Spanish version - Probably a few more things hiding here and there Have fun and happy holidays folks!

DailyBops are here! Get your daily dose of music trivia from your own library, earn tickets and jokers and keep your streak alive for even better rewards. The whole app got a fresh layout - smoother navigation, optimized views and now we're ready for the future. A new MyBop section lets you play your entire library with custom tweaks. Also: • Your library playlists now get automatic background colors • Old DailyBops are now CustomBops with a new design (looks sick) • Smoother gameplay with improved loading and transitions • Better intro slides, signup flow, duel explanation, and music player - nearly everything looks a bit nicer

A whole new game experience awaits! We’ve replaced the old “Correct & Guess-Time” ranking system with a fresh points-based system - and it works wonders. It’s more engaging, with clear goals, levels, and rewards to keep you motivated. We’ve also refreshed the summary screens and explanations, and made several UI and logic improvements throughout the app. Try it out and tell us what you think!

With iOS 26 the app comes with updated UI elements and full support for the new system design. We’ve also refined some layouts ourselves - be sure to check them out!

Finally there is a decent User View, yay! Look at your games, stats and friends. You can also check out other players. For now it is quite basic, but there is more to come! What else: - Fix the camera indicator while playing if the rotating vinyl camera is active. - Duel UI updates here and there. - Summary UI update.

What's new this time: - We fixed the push notifications. They were missing for a while in the duels, we didn't notice it. But they're back now, more stable than ever. - I put in some shenanigans, you can find it in the settings. (Nothing much, just small silly fun) - We have a website now, so the privacy policy, terms of use links etc. moved. - Some optimizations to better select friends for duel and show additional information if you are lost.

This update brings some exciting changes again: - You can now access all single-player modes without needing to play the "Basic" game first. - "Weekly" games are now "daily"! Every playlist and mode can be played once per day instead of once per week. - Add your favorite playlists to easily find and revisit them. - We've revamped several views (e.g., game summary, playlist selection, and game preview) for a cleaner look. - The order of options in the main selection view has been improved. - You can now choose to receive push notifications for updates and new features. Plus, a few small tweaks here and there - see if you can spot them!
